Support for Leeds First Friday

We were thrilled to launch our new 'pop up' stall in the reception area of the Cosmopolitan Hotel on Friday 1st February 2019.

This will be running each month alongside the Leeds First Friday social night which uses the hotel as a base point throughout their evening. Leeds First Friday (LFF) is arguably the largest regular Trans social night in the UK, and easily the most popular in the North of England.

Since we launched in December 2017 we've been proud to provide

on street support for attendees of the event, so it's fantastic to be able to extend this into providing a dedicated resource with this new pop-up.

Our Angel volunteers are on hand 7pm til 10pm in the hotel reception to provide information on LGBT+ social & support groups in Leeds.

Alongside this we also have our partners from West Yorkshire Police Hate Crime team along to engage with the Trans community to increase confidence in reporting & engage with the community to better understand any concerns or experiences on Trans Hate Crime in Leeds.

We're also delighted to be joined by partners from British Transport Police (7pm til 7.45pm) on these evenings, who can provide advice & assistance around safety on the rail network including any concerns around Hate Crime experiences.

As well as the Cosmopolitan stall you'll still be able to find our Angels out on street engagement in the Freedom Quarter (and beyond), which on Leeds First Friday event evenings will be extended to midnight.
