Over the Leeds Pride period our group will be organising or participating in a number of activities:
Weds 1st Aug - we’re running an LGBT+ community volunteers event, thanks to funding received from the Leeds Pride community grants scheme.
Fri 3rd Aug - is our usual Friday evening presence in the Lower Briggate & Call Lane areas of the city, where we’re around for people to chat with. This can be just a simple hello, to answer any questions or to signpost to support service
Thursday 23rd August, 6pm til 8pm - Leeds safety on the rail network ✊🏼
This session is delivered by officers in British Transport Police, between their office on New Station Road and the Leeds train station.
It’s a fascinating session providing an overview of their service delivered on the rail network and their responsibility for the Lower Briggate area of the city, along with all of the safety measures in place within the train station.

Each month we host an awareness session, open to anyone with an interest in supporting the LGBT+ community in Leeds. One of the aims of our project is to increase awareness of risk & vulnerability within the community, with a focus on identifying where a person needs support and have the knowledge of support agencies available to help. As volunteers we work throughout the year for the benefit of others within the community. Focusing on our individual groups & causes without taking time to reflect on our successes and the benefits we bring to others. Due to this focus we also have little opportunity to socialise with volunteers within other organisations than our own. This can be especially difficult to do around Pride season as we don't take time out for ourselves, but rather we channel our energies into ou
